Thunder Lodge welcomes you to "your home away from home" any season of the year. The lodge is perfectly located in the heart of the Collegiate and Sawatch Mountain Ranges on the banks of the legendary Cottonwood Creek. Eight pine log cabins surround a tree covered central courtyard in a tranquil creekside setting.

Warm, cozy and inviting, all one and two bedroom cabins have fully equipped kitchens with microwaves, toasters and coffeemakers.  All cabins have a comfortable living room with 32" flat screen TVs, 60+ cable channels, DVD player and free WiFi internet access.  The two bedroom cabins have a queen bed and a memory foam-topped full size bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room and can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably.  The one bedroom cabins have a queen bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room and can accommodate up to 5 people comfortably.  All cabins have cabin style bedding, Vellux blankets, with extra pillows and blankets.  There is also a twin size roll-away bed in each cabin.   Air mattresses, pack-n-plays and high chairs are available upon request.   

Buena Vista "pleasant view" is quaintly nestled at the base of the Majestic Collegiate and Sawatch Mountains in a protected valley called the "Banana Belt". We have the largest concentration of mountain peaks that exceed 14,000ft elevation in Colorado and the lower 48 states. BV is the ultimate outdoor mecca, with the Arkansas River passing through the valley, we are known as the whitewater rafting capital of the US.
