Thunder Lodge welcomes you to "your home away from home" any season of the year. The lodge is perfectly located in the heart of the Collegiate and Sawatch Mountain Ranges on the banks of the legendary Cottonwood Creek. Eight pine log cabins surround a tree covered central courtyard in a tranquil creekside setting.

Warm, cozy and inviting, all cabins have fully equipped kitchens, with new microwaves and a large comfortable living room with cable TV, DVD player and free WiFi internet access. With a memory foam-topped full size bed, new cabin-style quilted bedding, linens and blankets in each of the two private bedrooms, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room, each cabin can accommodate 6 to 8 people comfortably. Roll-away beds and cribs are available upon request. 

Buena Vista "pleasant view" is quaintly nestled at the base of the Majestic Collegiate and Sawatch Mountains in a protected valley called the "Banana Belt". We have the largest concentration of mountain peaks that exceed 14,000ft elevation in Colorado and the lower 48 states. BV is the ultimate outdoor mecca, with the Arkansas River passing through the valley, we are known as the whitewater rafting capital of the US. No matter the season, staying at Thunder Lodge can be your gateway to the adventures of a lifetime!
